Square Market Store Opened

I discovered a platform that allows for a store set up, and secure purchasing to be made right through the site, and your shop. SquareMarket

The interface is very easy to use, though yes, slightly limited. It is more suitable as an extension to one's brick and mortar shop or trade show or craft type market show type activities where one needs a way for people to browse and instantly pay for items either at your booth or more items available that you don't have present.

It is also a free store to host, no monthly fees like Weebly, Big Cartel, Shopify, etc., and there are just small % transaction fees paid to Square when you make a sale. A really great way to test out your items and success of selling Before committing too much financially.

I worked quite a bit on my shop over a 2 day period but it was not until I actually went in to one of my items that I discovered I am only allowed to ship to Canadian addresses. Well, this halted my excitement, pretty much killed it. The US buyer market is my main market through my other venues. I rarely if ever sell to Canadian shoppers :-(

Square Market allows US, Canadian, and Japan based shops so far. However, and I'm sure it has to do with credit card transactions somehow, that one may only ship to their home country for any Online store purchases.

Despite this, I decided to keep my shop open, and see what happens. In the mean time, I have purchased my domain and will set up my own store through my husband's web host, and add Paypal payment ability to that, myself. Using a template will help speed up the process of setting up a shop. Then I can sell to any country.

Update: I closed this shop as it would not allow me to run an online store that US Buyers could shop on.
I presently have been building quite an extensive store that does allow this, as well as Paypal as a payment method.
